What is ‘all-weather wicker’?
All-weather wicker is a resin material that’s woven around a frame. It’s coloured and textured to look just like natural materials such as rattan and willow, but is much stronger and better suited to life outdoors year round – it’ll never crack, flake or fade. It’s also brilliantly easy to look after – a wash down with a hose or pressure spray is all it needs.
The tabletop
The glass top is recessed into the wicker which removes the need for rubber suckers underneath and keeps it safe and secure. And speaking of safety, like all our glass tabletops, it’s made from toughened glass which is very difficult to break but, if it did, would shatter into small chunks rather than sharp shards.
Design details
We’ve made Tresco with a recessed base so, even if it’s sat up close to your sofa, you can still tuck your legs underneath comfortably. Like the seating in the Tresco collection, the base has a cutaway design as well, creating a lighter and more refined look than if it was a straightforward block.
Completing the picture
Just as occasional tables are essential to your living room indoors – as somewhere to place your drink, rest your book or pop a lamp – so should they be outside too. So, as well as this coffee table, we’d suggest also adding the coordinating Coleton side table to your garden seating area. And as for that lamp?
