This chair was the first piece in our Suffolk collection, inspired by an antique original. It’s defined by the Shaker-style turned spheres?across the back and the curved detail where the chair posts meet the seat. Suffolk is pared-back, in line with the Shaker inspiration behind the collection, while the spacious proportions and dipped seat ensure comfort, too.

Traditional, durable mortise-and-tenon joinery.  
Gentle gradient curve to seat and back for comfort.  
Discreet feet glides prevent floor marks.
Hand-finished in a customisable eggshell paint.

Design inspiration

Originally inspired by antique Shaker furniture found in Suffolk, the collection is rooted in this 18th-century movement which emphasised the importance of utility and honesty in design. The Shaker influence is highlighted through the collection’s classic yet pared-back feel and considered design details including turned legs and recessed door panels.

Orders over £150 (or €250 in Ireland) qualify for free delivery.
For orders under £150 (or €250 in Ireland), a delivery fee of £6.95 applies (£30 in Ireland).
If your order is in stock and eligible for parcel delivery to mainland UK, one of our approved couriers will deliver it within 5 days.
For larger products, we offer our White Glove Service delivery within 21 days (mainland UK and Northern Ireland only).
For items with an estimated delivery timeframe, we’ll either dispatch them upon arrival or contact you to arrange delivery.
