Inspired by classic, formal wooden beds, Chichester features ornate finials and tongue and groove panelling on the headboard. It’s brought up to date with a painted finish and a sprung slatted base for support. The decorative arched footboard allows for underbed storage, while the tapering legs feature Georgian-style mouldings.

Design notes

Frame secured with durable mortise-and-tenon joinery.  
Sturdy clips lock the birch slats in place.  
Hand-finished with a customisable eggshell paint.  
Headboard finials are removable and interchangeable flat ones are supplied.
Recessed panel at the bottom of the headboard allows for the mattress.

Design inspiration

Our co-founder John and creative founder Emma turned to antique shops and reclamation yards to furnish their first home. They were drawn to classic Georgian furniture, and the pieces they chose inspired Chichester – our first interior collection. This influence is evident in Chichester’s traditional farmhouse feel and its defining features including elegant proportions, decorative mouldings and carved skirting.

Smaller parcel deliveries:

Standard delivery fee: £6.95 for orders under £150 (€30 for orders under €250 in Ireland).
Next day delivery: £9.95, available on parcel deliveries to the UK only. Order before 1pm, no minimum spend.
Free standard delivery: on orders over £150 (€250 in Ireland).
