The Material
Tetbury is made from kubu – a type of natural rattan that’s both strong and smooth. It has a grey-brown colour that fits easily into any interior. Because it’s a natural material, the colour will vary from piece to piece though, because Mother Nature is about character over clones. We've also added three small feet on the base to help ventilate the natural rattan.
Design detail
Each Tetbury planter has a zinc metal liner, which won’t rust over time. And, because water drains from the soil, there's drainage holes in the base.
The making process
It’s not always possible to make things by hand, but when it comes to basket-weaving, that’s really the only way to do it. It means that, even though our planters are fairly uniform in shape and size, they do vary slightly, giving them much more character than if a machine made them.
